This year marks the 79th anniversary of the 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I have created this piece featuring the symbol of the paper crane representing hope, peace, and a future free from nuclear weapons.
I was inspired by the symbol of the paper crane and the story of Sadako Sasaki. I’ve created this piece in partnership with Cranes For Our Future and the Nuclear Threat Initiative in her honor and with the hope we work towards building a future without nuclear weapons where every child can live their full potential #CranesForOurFuture
